Vol. 81, No. 9                   President – John Bickhart                    Editor – Dottie Anderson   *************************************************************************************

This Week: Sept. 6, 2007- Todd Snyder, President of T Snyder Consulting, will talk about the Selinsgrove WiFi project. New members will be installed. SVCC, 11:45 am.

August 30, 2007 – Twenty-eight members and guests were present for the Club Assembly. Guests included visiting Rotarian Rue Rothermel, Mark Johnson and Leo Mendonca.  Mark and Leo will be inducted as new members at our next meeting.  President Bickhart presented a prospective budget which will be approved as revised at the next Board Meeting (Tu. Sept. 4, 7:30 a.m., Kind Café).  A review of categories led to suggestions for change – such as increasing budget item for PETS Training from the proposed $100 to $400, considering budgeting for one shelter box, adding the Salvation Army to the special projects list, eliminating category for Book Project which goes back to a matching grant program that was completed, hosing this years GSE Team, changing Heart Project to Health Project, and combining two checking accounts into one.  Discussion occurred about limiting the amount for the Free Enterprise program scholarship to one half, with the SAYF contributing the other half.  This means only one student from Selinsgrove Area High School will receive a scholarship. The written budget is in follow up to the work started by Kendra last year, and is a 0 based budget as proposed.  Anyone with further comments between now and Tuesday is welcome to comment to John or any other board member.
