This Week: Sept. 20, 2007- Club Assembly Moved Ahead. Committee heads are asked to be present or designate a committee member to lead discussions and report to the membership at the end of the meeting.

Sept. 13, 2007 – Over 50 members of the Selinsgrove and Sunbury Rotary clubs were joined by administrators of Selinsgrove and Shikellamy High School to celebrate coach’s night.  This annual tradition allows the cross town rival football coaches to comment on their team, their season thus far and their expectations for this week’s big game.  Coach Marlin Persing noted that he is working with a young team that has great spirit and plays with a lot of emotion.  Coach Bill Scott said that they have a 1-1 season thus far and their loss to Danville was a surprise.  He has lost some experienced running backs and is working with an offensive line that isn’t quite where they need to be.  Both schools have great school spirit and looking forward to this annual contest that is being held in Selinsgrove Friday night.  As always it should be a great evening for fans from both school districts.

Announcements: Please call John Fischer if you are available to help at the 9/17 Golf Tournament. Helpers are needed as hole watchers and to register players. Prizes for players should be given to Bob Soper.** Sept. 22 is the date for the Market Street Festival. Sign-up sheet for times to work is being circulated, as is a sign up sheet to provide baked goods for sale.  If you have not signed up – PLEASE make a call to Bob Fogle as soon as possible at 374-1869.  This is one of our biggest events and we need every member to participate.
