This Week: May 1, 2008 – Mark Barnhardt, Principal-in-Charge; Jim Martin, Project Manger; and Leah Shiley, Director of Business Development, all with EI Associates, Inc., will make a presentation about the Selinsgrove Elementary School project.  John Stokinger will edit the Newsletter.  SVCC, 11:45 a.m.

April 24, 2008 – Thirty-six Rotarians and guests were present for John Bickhart’s report on items of interest from the District Conference and Michael Damiano’s presentation on the Rotary Foundation.  Rotary Constitution change has reduced attendance requirement to 50% of meetings, with make-ups counted.  Club Presidents will now have to stay in office until the President-Elect has attended PETS Training.  At the District Assembly on 4/24, district dues may be raised from $16 annually to $20.  Mike Hayes has attended PETS and will represent club at the Assembly. Mike Damiano reminds members who have not given in this Rotary year to make their $100 donation prior to the end of June. Fred Johnson introduced Bill Bechtel, Science Teacher, who in turn introduced April Student of the Month, Alyssa Moyer. Alyssa will attend University of Louisville in the fall, playing Division 1 Field Hockey.  Fred  introduced Sue Groce, English Teacher, who in turn introduced May Student of the Month, Alison Varner. Alison will attend Syracuse University this fall to study Journalism.  Tom Gates introduced guest Anthony Tortella, CFO of Sunbury Community Hospital since January.  Jeff Edmunds introduced his guest, Joe Kantz, Snyder County Commissioner.  Mike Hayes introduced his administrative assistant, Norma Naugle. Mike Damiano introduced his daughter, Francisca).

Announcements: Thanks are extended to Shane Hendricks for all of his work at Rotary Field.*John Fischer announced the start of Thursday Night Golf on 5/1.
