March 6, 2008 – Twenty-three Rotarians and guests were present for lunch at Emma’s Food for Life, 11 South Market Street, Selinsgrove, followed by a presentation by co-owner/chef Emma Renninger on the philosophy of the restaurant and its use of local organically grown ingredients and healthy eating. Opened by Emma and partner Nick Charles 11 months ago, the menu changes 4 times a year (spring menu starts 4/1) so that fresh local foods can be featured. Guests: John Fischer’s wife, Carolyn and Don Summers’ wife Krista.
Announcements: This year’s Distinguished Service recognition dinner is scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 6 p.m. at the SVCC. *We will host the GSE Team from
