July 30, 2009 – Thirty-two Rotarians and guests were present as Jessica Newell and Mike Hayes shared information about the Savor Selinsgrove event. John Thompson, a retired physician and former Rotarian, was present having located our Club through our Web Site. Shawn Felty introduced his guest, Sumer Botdorf, member of the Sire Advertising staff. General conclusion is that Savor Selinsgrove should continue, perhaps with a different date, less tickets printed, more extensive advertising. Being planned is an evening at the movies program, possibly the third Thursday of August, at the Commons. Plan is to do one this summer and then doing it regularly next summer. Committee includes Jessica, Mike, Jennifer Johnston and Mike Fleming.
Announcements: Ken Miller reported that the concern about midget football and Rotary field use is resolved.*Joyce Anderson and Konrad Kempfe are coordinating assistance to a family in need of furniture, washer/drier, etc. Please be in touch with Joyce if you can offer anything including use of a truck to deliver furniture.**Jeff Edmunds distributed Rotary MasterCard flyer and 09-10 Directories from District. Hal Dunkelberger distributed attendance sheet.
