November 12, 2009 – With Dottie Anderson acting as MC, the Club saw the Steve Patterson video of the Summer Seals Day Camp, heard a description of the curriculum from Camp Director Ryan McGuire, a quick summary of comparative math and reading comparisons of campers vs. non-campers from Principal Terry Heintzelman, and a description of how the teachers are selected from Susquehanna’s Educ. Dept. Chair and SSDC Board Member Anne Reeves. Mike Flock and John Bickhart spoke of the campers experiences at the pond. Announcements: Rotary Foundation Dinner is at Tedd’s on the Hill, 6 p.m. November 18. In support of DG Carl Askew, several members are attending. Do plan to join us.
