April 22, 2010:Approximately 40 Rotarians and guests were present to hear Dave Paulson, Bucknell Universitry’s Basketball coach since 2008, describe his philosophy as a teacher/coach and his delight in working at Bucknell and with scholar athletes. He was introduced by Tom Gates. The father of three daughters, he was previously the coach at Williams College where his team achieved a National Championship. With returning players and new recruits, it would appear that the Bucknell team will improve on its 8 of 10 season.  Favorite quotes such as “Burn your boats everyday” and Vince Lompardi’s “Perfection is not obtainable, but if you pursue perfection you can achieve excellance” express the way in which hopes to help players achieve their potential.
