Next Meeting:  June 24, 2010, 11:45 a.m., SVCC. Installation of 2010-2011 Officers and Directors.

June 17, 2010: 32 members and guests enjoyed a presentation about Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week.  Hal Schriver introduced 4 Selinsgrove High School students, Mary Herman, Issac Kunkel, Ellie Herman and Matty Waltman who each provided their impression of their time at Lycoming College.  Students from around the State joined them for this week long learning experience about the business world.  All agreed the week was very rewarding as they learned about the tough decisions business owners make on a daily basis and how those decisions can affect the success of a business.  The business simulation model was the highlight of their learning experience as they worked with team members to actually run a business.

Announcements: Konrad Kempfe announced that our Club has secured a Rotary Exchange student for the coming school year . . .but . . . we still need one Rotary family to host the student.  This commitment MUST happen ASAP.  If anyone is interested, call Konrad immediately.  Tuesday, July 13th Rotary will host Hot Dog Night at the Gazebo – help is needed – call John Bickhart.  July 19th – Joe Snedecker will be riding through Selinsgrove and the community hopes to create an event around this.  Bob Fogle reported that our annual BBQ earned over $4,000.  Thanks to all who volunteered their time to make this a success.
