March 17, 2011: Twenty-six Rotarians, including
newest member, Bruce Marian, were present to hear President Judge Michael
Sholley provide an update of court related activities occurring in Snyder
County. Mike Flock hosted and introduced Judge Sholley. Vice President Pat
Pinkowski presided. The Judge is proud of the work he is building on in Snyder
County, such as the Community Service Coordinator’s work, the revisions in
family court issues (family group decision making), Drug and Alcohol court,
etc. All of these efforts both have better rehabilitative results and cost less
than other options. Court is looking ahead to hiring an dedicated IT person and
providing for closed circuit TV for testimony from young victims, and remote
witnessing capabilities. Daffodil’s were distributed to those who ordered them.
Ones not picked up will be distributed at Grayson View.
