Nov. 29, 2012: Twenty-three Rotarians were present
as Jody Adams, IT Specialist at mepush, Inc, spoke about his work. Hal
Dunkleberger was the host. Mepush provides on-site and remote assistance to
customers on both hardware and software issues, including backup services, set
up and repair. The MeGive program is one in which the company accepts old computers
and printers and recycles or refurbishes so the computer can be given to those
without the resources to buy a computer. An active Q & A session followed.
Announcements: We will meet at the SVCC throughout January and
February.*Art Bowen is coordinating signup for Salvation Army Bell
Ringing. It will occur on two dates: Dec. 8 from 5 to 10 p.m. in town during
Santa Fest and Dec. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 in front of Smokers Express.**No
noon meeting on 12/13 since we are doing the Holiday Tribute in the evening –
see below.***Donna circulated thank you notes from the 3rd graders
who received Dictionaries – thanks again to Don and Krista Summers.****Tom
Gates thanks those who assisted yesterday in the setting up of trees for Tree
Fest.

News of Rotary International: Konrad Kempfe reported on the a
project started by the Commerce City, CO club to provide assistance for a
hospital on Christmas Island in the Pacific in combination with other Clubs,
the Mormon Church, and US Navy Seabees.
Sergeant at arms: Marv Rudnitsky collected happy
fines from: himself (Thanksgiving in NYC with grandkids); Mike Flock (well and
back); Sheri Hoffman (back and cutting a Christmas Tree with the family); Hal
Dunkelberger (speaker); Tom Gates (running Hershey Half Marathon and coming in
first in the 65+ group); Jeff Schaum (good luck SEALS); Art Bowen (family
Thanksgiving), Milton train show, Earl and speaker); Mike Piecuch (Dave’s
successful surgery and being here); Nelson Bailey (CO trip and family
thanksgiving); and Earl Ferster (+15 and back – but no deer yet).
