April 25,
2013
: Twenty-five Rotarians were
present for this Free Enterprise Week program featuring Colonel Dave Hall. Bob
Soper was the host and introduced Colonel Hall who is currently the Director of
Operations for Heritage Aviation and the flight training school, and who was
previously the CEO of the Chamber after retiring from the Air Force. He is an
active member with PA Free Enterprise Week Foundation, frequently serving as a
motivational speaker for the program at Lycoming College. Founded in 1979 at
Clarian College, PA FEW provides high school students the opportunity for one
week to be involved in all aspects of running a company. Scholarships for the
program are provided by service organizations and other donations, with
executives from some 700 companies providing volunteers who serve as “company
advisors” for the 1400 students from 1000 high schools in the state. Our club
and the SACF are two entities that provide scholarships for local students.

solve a problem you decide they have.
