Vol. 86, No. 45

President – Donna Schuck                Editor – Dottie Anderson

Next Meeting: May 30,
2013 – Joyce Anderson hosts Recognition Day. A Board of Directors meeting will
follow. SVCC, 11:45 a.m.

May 23,
2013
: Twenty-four Rotarians and guests were
present as host Donna Schuck introduced Brittany Bunting-Specht, co-advisor of
the SAHS Forensics Club. Brittany introduced Emily Spiegel who presented her Club winning
Four Way Test Speech that she was prepared to give at the District contest.
Unfortunately, the District event was held the same weekend as the state
forensics event and Emily had qualified for that event and reached the
semi-final, which meant she was unable to participate. Her speech was about
First Impressions and the Four Way Test, and was well received by those present.
Emily, a Junior, is a member of both the National Honor Society and the German
Honor Society, as well as president of the Forensics Team. Brittany and co
advisor Kristi Bieler have agreed to work with the Club again next year in arranging
for the contest, a part of the New Generations Avenue of Service.
