in this endeavor with the Selinsgrove Area School District and the Dept. of

2013: Twenty-five Rotarians and Donna Schuck’s
guest Gaston Carroll were present as Brian Neitz gave his classification/vocational
talk.A Sunbury native and graduate of
Shik, Penn Tech, and Bloomsburg, Brian and his wife Chelsy married in 1999 and
have a 9 year old daughter and 6 year old son. He started his career with a
consumer discount company and switched to banking and is currently employed by
Mifflinburg Bank and Trust. He has served as a loaned executive at the United
Way and is a Leadership Susquehanna Valley graduate, a member of the Dental
Clinic Board and a coach for his son’s baseball team.

July 9 – volunteers are needed to assist at the event. Contact Earl Ferster.**Ken
Miller announced that John Fischer has stepped up once again for Rotary Field.
The scoping work needed of the sewer line at the field will be done by Roto-Rooter,
with any work required charged at a discounted rate. Last week the board
authorized an expenditure of $800 for three new doors and determining the work
needed to fix sewer lines. Thanks to Ken Miller for all his work on the field.
Ken in turn thanks John, Bob Fogle and Tom Gates for their efforts on behalf of
the field.***Donna reported that Meghan, our exchange student, is home from
Brazil and will be invited to speak to the club this summer.****Konrad Kempfe
requests that the Club web site be updated in the new Rotary year.*****Thank
you notes from scholarship winners shared by Kendra Aucker.
Good News of Rotary: Konrad
Kempfe shared information about Rotaplast, a 20 year old San Francisco based
medical non-profit that provides surgeries for children born with cleft lip and
palate. Partnering with a club in Bangladesh in May 2011, the San Francisco
Club informed families in need and performed 115 surgeries in the port city of
Chittagong.

conversation); John Thompson (ham radio event at airport); Charlie McCuen (back
from Fl. and Key West, and successful poker run fund raiser); Bill Clark
(grandson’s graduation); Joyce Anderson (speaker, grandsons in scouting);
Dottie Anderson (Marv attending Boro Council Meeting); and Donna Schuck (guest
and his “reveal” party, vacation anticipated with husband) .
