Nov. 14, 2013:
Thirty Rotarians and guests were present as host Konrad Kempfe introduced this
program on obesity. Speakers, all from Evangelical Community Hospital’s
Bariatric Team, were Christopher Motto, MD; Kim Criswell, Dietitian, and LeRee
Hummel, bariatric nurse. Patients are evaluated prior to admission to the
program and, working with the team, lose weight following new diet and exercise
protocols before any surgery is done. This was an informative program for all
of us about ways to be eating healthy, exercising and mitigating against the
variety of diseases that occur with obesity.

On behalf of the Nominating Committee, Pat Pinkowski
presented the slate for 2014-15: Dave Lawer, President, Donna Schuck, Past
President; Mike Piecuch, President Elect; Gaston Carroll, Vice President; Jared
Roush, Treasurer; Hal Dunkelberger, Secretary. Directors are: New Generations,
