has called a Board of Directors Meeting scheduled for noon on the 12th
at Amato’s in Selinsgrove.
Dec. 5, 2013: With VP Chad Cohrs presiding, twenty-eight Rotarians were
present as host Dave Lawer introduced Dalton “Buzz” Savidge, retired from PP
& L after 40 years, who spoke about electricity market purchasing for
residential and commercial properties, deregulation, pricing and a personal
strategy. This was an informative presentation with numerous questions asked
and answered, including showing the website and how to go about shopping for electricity.
Note the date your meter is read and realize that changes in providers may take
a couple of months. Determining if you will shop for electricity provider is
dependent upon your personal choice, amount of usage, and the value you place

Thompson continues to work on the schedule of signup for the remaining
Salvation Army Bell Ringing times, 9 am to noon Saturday,12/7 and 12/14.**Tree
Fest is open – 7 to 10 p.m. through Dec. 20. It will be open and available to
visit during regular library hours. Do plan to stop by and support the Friends
of the Library fund raiser. Vote for the Rotary tree – The Very Hungry
Caterpillar.***Joyce Anderson collected money to purchase presents for this
year’s Christmas “Family” – three girls, a 6 year old and two 16 year olds who
are in foster care. She will do the shopping on Saturday.****Mike Piecuch
reminds us that the Communities that Care conference is at SU on 12/11.Sergeant at arms: Marv Rudnitsky collected happy fines from: himself
(birthday, meeting nice guy at GMC who Ken Miller knows, Penn State season,
Amahl and the Night Visitors Chorale performance next weekend); Tom Gates
(Williamsburg family Thanksgiving, John Stokinger’s 50/50 win donation to the
Library, help from Konrad and Nelson putting up trees for tree fest); Sherri
Hoffman (Narnia performance, Christ Wesleyan, Milton and her birthday next week);
Bill Clark (thanksgiving at daughters, bypass coming?); Pat Pinkowski (Disney
cruise family vacation, tree fest tree, son’s success); Gaston Carroll (friend’s
memorial service); Dave Lawer (thanks, Pat for tree fest decorations, speaker);
Chad Cohrs (family thanksgiving, son’s interview, school concert season); Jeff
Schaum (son’s 21st bd); Mary Peterhaensel (two thanksgivings,
surviving playing street hockey); John Fischer (thanksgiving and return to good
health); Mike Piecuch (in-law’s for thanksgiving); Toby Skinner (speaker);
Charlie McCuen (birthday and healthy November); Nelson Bailey (thanksgiving);
Art Bowen (hugh family thanksgiving): and Earl Ferster (plus 15, thanksgiving
gratitude).
