Dec. 12, 2013: Thirty-two Rotarians, partners and a
mother (Donna Schuck’s mom) were present as host Art Bowen presided at the
Holiday Dinner and Party in the Card Room of the SVCC. Mary Peterhaensel
provided the invocation, and Don Messimer played the piano and led a sing along
of Christmas music. The guest at each table with the furthest away birthday got
to take the table arrangement home. This was an excellent fellowship evening for
all in attendance.

Announcements: Tree Fest is open through Dec. 20.
It will be open and available to visit during regular library hours. Do plan to
stop by and support the Friends of the Library fund raiser. Vote for the Rotary
tree – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.*Thank you Joyce Anderson for collecting
money and doing the shopping for this year’s Christmas “Family” – three girls,
a 6 year old and two 16 year olds who are in foster care.**A Board of Director’s
meeting was held at noon at Amato’s (thank you Donna for the pizza). Agenda included
discussion of this Rotary year’s budget and fund raising possibilities.Fund raising has emerged as the most urgent priority
for the remainder of the year. John Fischer has agreed to chair the internal
audit committee for the 2012-13 Rotary year.

Jeff and Heather Necessary of Blue Dog Imaging, Selinsgrove, will be the
speakers. Mike Piecuch is the host. SVCC, 11:45 a.m.
