Jan. 2, 2014: Twenty-five Rotarians and one guest (Mike
Flock’s guest, Rocky Baer) were present as host Mary Peterhaensel introduced
Andrew Oakes, owner/operator of Fresh Roasted Coffee, LLC. This is a growing
green business in Selinsgrove. Featuring smokeless coffee roasting of beans
imported from around the world, Andrew is definitely a “coffee aficionado” who
understands and celebrates doing business in an environmentally friendly way
while producing a great cup of coffee. The company now has 9 employees.Check out the website www.freshroastedcoffee.com. Coffee can be purchased as beans, ground, or in
packaging that is compatible with K cups at the operation on High Street or
over the internet. VP Chad Cohrs presided. Announcements: John Fischer reported on behalf of
the Audit Committee that the 2012-13 books have been reviewed with Ken Wagner,
past treasurer, and Jared Roush, current treasurer, and all is well.*Remember
to check with partners and guests about Urban/Rural Night dinner attendance on
Jan. 30 at the CCUMC on Park Rd. at 6 p.m.
