Jan. 9, 2014:
Twenty-five Rotarians were present as
host Mike Piecuch introduced Jeff and Heather Necessary, proprietors of Blue
Dog Imagining. This is a local photography studio run by husband and wife
located in Shamokin Dam. The Necessary’s are currently operating the business
out of their home, but have previously had several locations in Selinsgrove.
Jeff and Heather pride themselves on their experience in the photography field
and hold their work to a high standard. They keep up on current technology and
unique ideas for their clients. Their photography is not just ‘run of the mill’
type work for fun but something they take seriously as a full time career.
Every job they do they focus on the needs of the clients and the final product.
Jeff and Heather also explained the ‘megapixel’ wars between camera and how
modern technology has impacted photographers and their work. You can see more

Announcements: Urban/Rural Night dinner on Jan. 30 at the CCUMC on Park Rd.
is at 6 p.m. Melissa Laniewski has agreed to take the job of editor for a new
Selinsgrove Rotary Facebook page. Bloomsburg Rotary is having a jewelry
fundraiser. President Donna made the group aware of some new fundraising ideas
such as an Antiques Roadshow event and a Golf Ball drop. Sergeant

Lawer (speakers and treasurer’s report); Toby Skinner (wonderful Belize

Mifflingburg Bank robbery, wonderful Christmas and having to leave early);
Konrad Kempfe (wonderful trip to Chicago); Gaston Carroll (being absent,
therapy riding program); Donna Schuck (speakers, thanks to Dave and Chad for
filling in when she wasn’t feeling well); Wes Knapp (speakers, being absent,
$2.99/gallon of gas in SC); Mike Piecuch (blue man group performance in
Williamsport); Earl Ferster ($15 and fellowship of the Club members). Future Programs:

Reed is the host. SVCC, 11:45 a.m.Jan. 30 – Urban/Rural Night. Jerry Rhoads is
the host. Kathy Weller of the 4H Club will be the speaker. Partners, friends
