October 2, 2014: Twenty-five Rotarians and a guest (Brian Betz) were present for the Club Assembly. President Dave thanked everyone involved with the Market Street Festival and both he and John Stokinger were pleased with member participation and the presence of members of the new Interact Club. We’re in “the black” on sales and expect to net about $200 in profits. Remaining ham barbeque was taken to Haven Ministry and to the Interact Club. Next year we will prepared less barbeque and also be prepared to sell it by the pint or quart. Joyce Anderson introduced new members Ryan Felty and Davic Betz and they were installed for a second time using the Club’s format as done by Dottie Anderson. Gaston Carroll both told and demonstrated DACdb and how every member can use it and update their profiles. The Club’s Web-site will now be a totally public site for PR and information, and a sign in a password will not be necessary to use it. Password protected information will be on the Districts’ site (DACdp). Your e-mail that the Club has is your password and your RI member number eliminating the first and last digit, is your ID. Either Gaston or Hal can tell you that number. If you do not use a computer, Gaston or Hal can help you update your profile. Announcements: It is time to select a book for this year’s Tree Fest of Children’s Books – tell the Editor or Pat Pinkowski if you have a favorite book you’d like us to consider.*The Dictionary Project will take place for third graders on Nov. 14, chaired by Don Summers.**President Dave is appointing a nominating committee who will report by the 16th of October. The Annual Meeting and Election of Officers will take place on Nov. 13.
Good News of Rotary International: Konrad Kempfe reported on young Rotarian from Vilnius Lithuania who founded the Vilnius Interact Club, traveled to Taiwan as a Youth Exchange Student, and became more confident and utgoing as a result. She is now studying at the Univ. of Illinois in Chicago.

Rotary Minute: Bob Soper spoke about the RI Foundation and development of sustaining member program which facilitate every member becoming a Paul Harris Fellow.
