April 2, 2015: Thirty Rotarians and guests (Donna Schuck introduced Heather Snyder, Development Coordinator at Evangelical Comm. Hospital) were present as Shelly Strable, Executive Director since 1997, spoke about the Central Susquehanna Sight Services mission and programs. One of 25 such agencies in the state, CSSS serves Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties. The agency does vision screenings (pre-school and seniors), provides education, low cost eye wear and specialized services such as transportation and escort and low vision aids. Given many services, volunteer opportunities are available to provide transportation and to assist with vision screenings. Brian Neitz was the host. At the Board of Directors meeting items discussed included the Crochet Your Way fund raiser, the flag program, and the possibility of opening a pass through account with the CSCF and SACF.

Rotary Minute: Bob Soper spoke about how to give to the annual fund of the Rotary Foundation and distributed forms to all who were interested. To complete the form a member needs to fill in the District #7360, the Club #5324, and personal ID number which is found above your name on the Rotary Magazine name/address label.
