Next Meeting: June 25, 2015 – 11:45 a.m., SVCC. Installation of the 2015-16 Board of Directors. Outgoing President Dave will have the opportunity to reflect on his year as President and incoming President Mike Piecuch will have the opportunity to share his plans for the Rotary year. Dottie Anderson will serve as Installing Officer.
June 18, 2015: Twenty-five Rotarians and a guest (Jerry McCann, Don Rowe’s guest) were present for Steve Fluder’s presentation about the “Croquet Your Way” fund raising event that will occur in 2016. Donna Schuck introduced Steve who showed pictures and described how this fund raising event works to raise money for organizations. Partnering with corporate sponsors and other non-profit groups is a way of increasing impact in the local community for the event. Steve described how the event works and the kinds of help needed to make the event work. Scheduled for the third week in May in 2016, volunteers are sought to work out the details of how we will use this event to successfully raise money for the Clubs charitable work. Announcements: The Shamokin Dam Sunrise Club charter ceremony is scheduled for June 28 at 2 p.m. Dave Lawer and Mike Piecch plan to attend. All are welcome to attend at a cost of $20.00 *Melissa Lanewski is organizing Rotary Hotdog Night at the Gazebo on July 21 and she has found a bun donor and is seeking a donor of water bottles.
Rotary Minute: Hal Dnkelberger shared a variety of District dates – including the Chartering of the Shamokin Dam Sunrise Club. Good News of Rotary: Konrad Kempfe shared information about a project of Clubs in Australia partnered with Clubs in New Guinea through the Adopt a Village Programme, to fight the spread of malaria by distributing nets in underserved areas.

July 9 – Mike Piecuch will preside at a Club Assembly to talk about the 2015-16 Rotary year. ”Be a Gift to the World” is the RI Presidential theme for the year. SVCC, 11:45 a.m. Substitute Editor needed.
July 16 – Tentative plans – lunch with the Summer SEALS Day Campers at the Intermediate School, Dottie Anderson is the host, SVCC, 11:45 a.m.
