No Meeting December 28 in recognition of Christmas and the New Year

 

Next Meeting: January 4, 201 – Host Mike Damiano will present a program, complete with pictures and power point, about his trip to Italy – Portofino, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast. SVCC, 11:45 a.m.

 

December 21, 2017: Twenty-eight Rotarians and guests (Wes Knapp’s wife, Wanda; Marv Rudnitsky’s wife, Raven; John Fischer’s wife, Gail; Carol Handlan’s husband, Jim; Danielle Little’s co-worker, Heather Weinsen; Honorary member, Bob Soper) were present for our Holiday Party with Don Messimer providing piano music and leading us in our Christmas sing along. Art Bowen was the host, providing beautiful poinsettias as table decorations (and favors), and distributing Golf Ball Drop tickets (members are urged to consider giving these as presents). President Toby Skinner presented our waitress Sue a card and tip on behalf of the Club.

 

Announcements: Sarah Manaval has decorated a Tree Fest tree using the Emoji theme. Please stop by the Library and vote for the Rotary tree before the end of Tree Fest. * 2018 Mallet Madness date is set – June 9 – Save the date.*Welcome back John Stokinger. **Golf Ball Drop date is set for Oct. 20, 2018, at noon, with the possibility of lunch being held at the same time. Tickets are being distributed.***Donations of snacks continue to be needed for students at the REC. Snacks can be delivered between 3-6 p.m. Call Kelly Feiler if you are interested in volunteering at the Center.****Pat Pinkowski shared information about her purchases for the “Christmas Family”*****Art Bowen requests nominations be submitted for 2017-18 Distinguished Service Award beginning now.

 

Sergeant at arms:  In absence of a regular report, Marv Rudnitsky noted Dottie Anderson’s 12/30 Birthday, but she owes for the fine since John Fischer didn’t want to have to go to the bank after the meeting.
