January 4, 2018: Twenty Rotarians were present as host Mike Damiano presented a program on his trip to Italy – Portofino, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast. It was a delightful presentation, complete with pictures and some history of the areas visited with his wife this past October. The ten-day trip on a plane, train, and bus took them from a town named because of the dolphins who live in the bay, the premiere sight for renaissance art thanks to the Medici’s and the Uffizi Gallery, and on to a playground of prestigious resorts. This was a terrific program for a very cold, snowy day in Central Pa. A Board Meeting preceded regular meeting.
Members are reminded of and urged to attend: January 10 – “I Am Jane Doe” documentary film on human trafficking at the Campus Theater, Lewisburg – 6:30 p.m. free screening, co-sponsored by the Lewisburg Rotary Clubs and Transitions.
Club’s $350 donation to provide water filters to Puerto Rico were matched by Mike Damiano and a third party, making the total donation $1400.
