May 31, 2018: Twenty-four Rotarians and a guest (Art Bowen’ guest Dr. Charles McLeskey) were present as Linda Steele, a paramedic with D & L Ambulance spoke about PennDot’s Yellow Dot program. Pat Pinkowski was the host. All are advised to go on www.YellowDot.pa.gov to request the booklet. Once received, complete it with emergency information for everyone in your family and put it in the glove compartment of the car, placing the yellow dot sticker on the back window. In the event of an accident, this information will be helpful to EMT’s or paramedic’s responding to the scene. Linda responded to numerous questions about her work and the increasing need for volunteers who are willing/able to become EMT’s. Dr. McLeskey also provided some interesting insights in response to some of the concerns raised about addiction and drug related deaths in our area.
