Coordinator (Donna Ross) and a staff representative from Rep. Keller’s office, and forty campers and staff met for a picnic at Rotary field for the annual Club/Camper lunch.  Dottie Anderson was the host, SSDC Board Chair Mike Piecuch introduced Mary Herman and Cameron Weaver. They shared information about camp and the appreciation all have for the partnership of the Club, the School District, and the University. The Co-Directors introduced the rest of staff and shared a bit about the units and special activities included in the camp program.  A special presentation was made to Sue Whipple of the School District Food Service on her retirement at the end of camp.  She has faithfully served the camp for all of its 12 years and her work has been very appreciated by the Board and staff.

Thank you to Don Rowe for the tent and the tables and chairs that were set up at the field, and all those who helped with the set up and the clean-up. The total gathering sang happy birthday to Hal Dunkelberger in the absence of our usual Sergeant at arms report, so no fine paid – yet.
