August 30, 2018: Twenty-six Rotarians and a guest (John Fischer’s wife Gail) were present. Unfortunately Cassidy Stumpf, a senior at SASD, is ill and was unable to share her RYLA experiences. President Cheryl shared that the establishment of an Interact Club is underway, with By-Laws written. She also shared that exchange student Antonin was Cassidy’s guest to his first American High School football game. Dottie Anderson served as installing officer for new member Fred Keller, with the assistance of his sponsor Ken Miller. Information was shared about opportunity to take a NYC trip with the Districts exchange students Oct. 12-14. All members have had access to this via e-mail from the District. Marty Blessing reported that the REC had a successful summer camp and has now begun its afterschool program – snacks continue to be welcome – especially fruits, but cookies will not be turned away!
Announcements: Golf Ball Drop date is set for Oct. 20, 2018 at noon. Turn receipts and ticket stubs into John Stokinger. If you need other ways to sell your 20 tickets, you could do so at the end of the Golf Tournament on the 10th or at the Market St. Festival table on the 22nd of Sept.*Volunteers – please remember to show up for the 26th annual Golf Tournament on 9/10 to do what you have volunteered to do.**Dan Mahoney is chairing efforts for our participation in 9/22 Market St. Festival. Dan did bring some samples of healthy foods and chocolate next week, which will likely be the type of snack we will sell at the Festival.***President Stumpf is interested in identifying a member who is interested in providing information about the Club for the District Newsletter and to coordinate our marketing efforts.****One Rotary Summit is taking place on 10/20 and Cheryl is planning to go and looking for a member who would like to go with her to this event.
