May 9, 2019: Twenty-three Rotarians and guests (Christine Horton and April Student of the Month Leah Hepner who was accompanied by her agriculture teacher, Valerie Fry), were present for the Club Assembly about Mallet Madness and the importance of every Rotarian playing a role in this major fund raiser and that provides support for multiple non-profits. John Stokinger and Melissa Laniewski presented the program. June 7 and 8 is the big weekend and the volunteer signup sheet was circulated. Melissa showed photos and emphasized the fun aspects of the program – including an appearance by our own “wicked cool” Cheryl! Order a shirt for the event by getting in touch with Melissa. John reports that we have commitments of $7500, with 28 teams. We need to hustle to reach last year’s numbers and it would be great to exceed last year. Steve Fluder will again provide the equipment and will run the tournament. Step up – play, sponsor, obtain a sponsor and players! Leah spoke about her plans to attend Slippery Rock to study physical therapy.
