June 13, 2019 – Twenty-two Rotarians were present as John Troxell spoke about the Art and Design of Wood-Mode. Charlie McCuen was the host. John, who holds a BA from the University of Arts in Phila., worked for Wood-Mode for 39 years before retiring last year. He held the position of Director of Design. His talk, with power point and picture highlights, made it clear how important design was in producing high end cabinetry, including the redesign of the kitchen in the Governor’s mansion in Harrisburg. Monumental changes occurred in the product line and in the materials used in building and designing a wide variety of styles, including the Brookhaven contractor’s line. His expertise and talent make it quite evident why a Wood-Mode product was and is so highly regarded.
