October 24, 2019 – Twenty-one Rotarians and guest Chanin Wendley, Josea’s host mother, were present as this year’s Rotary Exchange student from Chilie, Josea Perello Parez, shared photograph’s and information about his country and his family. Marv Rudnitsky was the host. Seventeen-year old Josea lives in Los Angeles in Southern Chilie with his parents. His older married siblings live in Santiago, the capital of Chilie. His sponsoring Club is in District 4355, and was charter in 2003. Josea is a delightful young man who is enjoying his time in Selinsgrove.

Announcements: Golf Ball Drop report – 848 tickets sold, a record number, $3250 is given out in prizes, per Art Bowen. *Remember that we have our second Little Green Box for recycling household batteries. John Stokinger advises that cell phones and tool batteries, as well as circle batteries are accepted.**Marv reported that the School Board has agreed to clear Rotary Field side walks of snow on a trial basis, with the Club paying for any salt or chemicals required to clear them.***Carol reported she has a meeting with Susanna Faulk re grants and we have received a thank you card from the REC for the snacks we shared.

International Moment: Today is both United Nations Day and Polio Plus Day.
