Feb. 6, 2020 – Nineteen Rotarians were present as Earl Ferster introduced Matt Heintzelman, CSCS, TSAC-F, Pn1, of Titan Tactical Strength and Conditioning. He described his life experiences that led him to open his own business in October of 2019. Matt is a 2009 graduate of SASD, where he was heavily involved in athletics and experienced working with fitness and strength coaches. In college, at Penn State, he majored in kinesiology. Following certification, he worked at Evan Out Patient P/T, which was later turned over to the Miller Center. Working with Bucknell’s Small Business Institute he developed the business plan that enabled him to open his own business. On the personal side, have ballooned in weight himself, to over 300 lbs., he has lost 125 lbs. using appropriate diet and fitness regime. Titan Tactical is growing, and Matt has now developed a full program for first responders (police, firefighters, EMT’s) who need to be in good physical condition in order to fully do their jobs. President Elect Dan Mahoney presided at both the board meeting that preceded and the Club meeting.
Announcements: The VFW, located on 522, will be holding a Bacon Cheeseburger Night on Feb. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m., with proceeds going to support upkeep at Rotary Field. * Planning for the 5th annual Mallet Madness has started. The next meeting is 2/13 at Melissa Laniewski’s house at 6:30. Note that the date for the event is June 6 (not 13 as is shown in the year’s Rotary Calendar. Let Donna know if you are interested in participating*Reminder of SNOW POLICY – we do not meet if the SASD has cancelled school.**4 Way Test speech contest is scheduled for 2/20, with Marty Blessing, Tom Gates, and Konrad Kempfe serving as judges.
