May 6, 2021: 23 Fellow Rotarians and 1 guests joined as Isabella’s, to hear Ben Reichley, Manger of Public Relations, Marketing and Business Development at LBWater. Ben has been instrumental in working with companies that pioneered the use of technologies in the construction and agriculture industry. With additional experience in manufacturing modular building systems. From start-up to multi-million dollar corporation and, through eventual international acquisition. He spoke on the history of LBWater and how since 1970, the company has grown to include nine locations; six throughout PA and one in Richmond, VA and Frederick, MD. All locations have the expertise and access to vast inventories of products for waterworks infrastructure projects and water emergencies; offering complete waterworks solutions. LBWater is known for its industry experience, insight and other value-added services that help customers plan, troubleshoot, and complete their jobs correctly and on-time. Providing solutions for Potable Water, Storm Water, Waste Water, Metering and Environmental to name a few. LBWater became a 100% employee owned company in 1970 and explains their high level of service and commitment.
Announcements: 1) Jay shared that they still need volunteers to help on Friday 6/11 at 2:00pm to help set up the courts and on Saturday 6/12 at 7:30am. 2) Art introduced Fritz Heinemann. 3) Carol announced that Saturday, June 26 will be the Rotary Yard/Craft sale. 4) Cheryl announced that there is an opportunity for taking photos of the Wild Wicket and to contact her directly if interested. 5) Dave mentioned the flags for Memorial Day will be set up on Rotary Field on 5/27 and to contact him or Sarah. He also mentioned that the scholarship committee was meeting today to determine our scholarship winners. 6) Marv mentioned our next Young American who will attend our meeting is Isabella Proger. He also shared that Alison Rosou made it to the final four of Rotary’s Four-Way Test competion.
