July 11, 2013: Thirty-seven Rotarians and guests
(Morgan’s parents, brother and sister) were present as Morgan spoke about her
exchange year in Brazil. Donna Schuck was the host. It is clear that Morgan
learned much more than a new language (Portuguese) during her 9 months in Sao
Jose Rio Preto, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. She shared many of these experiences (like
visiting in the Amazon) with 25 plus other Rotary Exchange students from around
the world to the same Rotary District. She returned in time to graduate from
Selinsgrove Area High School and plans to attend Wilkes University next fall to
begin college studies and pursue a career in linguistics, hopefully someday
working for the United Nations. Bob Soper presented a 3 sapphire Paul Harris
Fellow pin to Hal Dunkelberger)
